I'm looking for a source of plastic or synthetic material that can be heated and molded to make knife sheaths. I don't need anything fancy. I've used a heat gun before to alter kydex sheaths and was wondering if anyone knew of a place to get the plastic to start from scratch.

Knife kits has kydex a bit cheaper than texasknife.

I just bought 5 of the Kydex sheath kits from Knife Kits to try. I like leather much better but did not want to have to buy all the leatherworking stuff again. Looks like at some point I'll have to make both though.

Yep! Leather is leather, and I like it so much I don't own a Kydex holster. But some knives are ok with 'em I guess. Ah crap, I can see I'll have to buy the tools and leather again! :)

Valkman,
I hate kydex, I really do however, one of the most asked questions I get these days is about Kydex pocket holster's for the next group buy...I just cannot get into Kydex, granted I have made a few, they just dont do it for me
But since I love money, I must be a slave to the will of the masses... :neener:
To me, for a holster to feel "alive" it must at one point, BEEN alive...
Unpleasant dreams :D
