The gun was given to me by a friend and I don't know anything about when it was made. The barrel is stamped with "32-Short" and "J.Stevens Arms & Tool Co. Chicopee Falls, MA USA Pat. App'd For". All I could find out was that the .32 short cartridge was discontinued in 1932. Any information would be appreciated. Here is a picture of it. I can post other closer pictures upon request.

"They were "J. Stevens & Co." from 1864 to 1888 when they became J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co., and in 1916 they dropped the Tool part of the name." - from oldguns.net
John...who really needs to keep a set of gun books at work to use on breaks.

It looks like a Stevens "Crack Shot" Rifle No.16 made from about 1900-1913. Just my guess.

Thank you for the responses! It uses a .32 short rimfire and the serial number starts with "B 1xx" if that helps anyone.
