SP101 - Any pics with non-Ruger grips?

I am just about ready to buy an SP101 for use in a Smartcarry rig. The factory grips are great. But, they seem a little "fat". Does anyone have a pic with this gun and aftermarket grips that might slim it down some?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave - well I did briefly fit some Hogues but now - the lil' fella rejoices in wearing these CT grips - wicked combination. Love em :)

Wouldn't say BTW they ''slim it down'' much but they feel good and don't snag. I guess maybe a mini set of Cocobolos might get size down a tad more.

One thing to consider though, those "fat" factory grips, and the fact that they care of fairly soft rubber, make the gun a lot more pleasant firing full-power magnums.

I love my SP-101, but, I don't think I've ever used the words "pleasant" and "Full Power Magnums" in the same sentence when describing shooting it. I have played with different grips, the factory grips are the best compromise I've found between control, lack of pain and concealability. The CT does something other grips can't do, if I wanted a laser, that would be the only reason to change for me. Good luck on your quest.

Try the Hogue NYLON grip.
Comfort without the snag/print of the rubber version.

I gave my SP-101 to my Best Friend for his birthday one year. I'd put a Hogue rubber grip on it and he liked it so much I decided to give it to him.
I wanted a blue 6-shot snubbie, so I got a Security-Six for MY birthday!
Yes, it has a Hogue on it...as does just about everything I have. Love 'em.

I'm kind of a Hogue grip fanatic, but they work so well for me I recommend them a lot. :)
