Hey guys, I'm looking for a 1894, 95, cowboy style levergun that's chambered for 30-06... I'm having a hard time finding one.
Any help??
Thanks!

The only lever 30.06 I can think of is the Browning BLR.
It's a nice rifle, Fed from a detachable magazine so you can use
nice pointy bullets...

As far as I know, the BLr is the only levergun chambered in .30-06.
You won't find a "traditional" (i.e. tube-fed) levergun for the '06.
The Browning is a fine gun, but not exactly "cowboy".

The Winchester model 1895, both original and the recent re-issue, was made in 30-06. I once had an original in 30-40, but not an '06. It's a cool rifle, especially if you're a fan of Teddy Roosevelt.

Miragetex is right. The Winchester/Browning levers were chambered in 30.06, among other calibers.

But are any in current production?
I know they reintroduced the .405, but any of the others?
I suppose it'd be a decent choice though if you can find one. Although it'd probably cost more than a new Browning.

No not current catalogue item but available, they have made them in 3040 , 270 and 30 06 as well as the current 405
Last time i got a GunList I saw several 1895's listed. I have a pair. a original 35 winchester and a 3003 both from the same guy. I stopped at garage sale and saw some gun cases asked if they had guns too the oldtimer said maybe, I gave him my card and said i would love to see them and would bring him some cold beer when he called.
a month later went back and bought them both and some more for 1100 bucks.

I just picked up a Browning BLR strait stock in 308 for $520 granted it was a going out of buisness sale but it should be around 650 normally and they had a second one in 30-06. If you're in the CA bay area it's worth headin over there you'll never find a new one for $520. I'll tell ya how it goes my waiting period still has 8 days left on it. :cuss:
