I hear that an earthquake could feasibly dump California into the pacific. That might do it.

Honestly, I think that a nationwide shift toward a pro-RKBA attitude and ejection of the current political figures in CA is what it will take.

...I think that a nationwide shift toward a pro-RKBA attitude and ejection of the current political figures in CA is what it will take.

The nation already has shifted, with the ludicrous exceptions of Illinois, Maryland, New York, and one or two other bastions of leftist extremism.

As I recall, the last time subjects of the People's Republic of California threw a representative of the Democratic (sic) party out of office, they ended up with a Republican who promptly signed a .50 caliber rifle ban.

Those courageous Republicans sure are what you might call a "viable alternative" to the leftist extremist looters, aren't they?

Geting rid of Boxer and Finestine would go a long way

It will take making all the Mexican illegals full citizens and then about 2 generations. They are a socially conservative group so it stands to reason they would support RKBA.

1)The illegals arent pro-rkba. It is completely alien to their culture thanks to 200+ years of being disarmed by their own government. They routinely mistake armed americans for government officials. They are only socially conservative from the standpoint of being devout catholics. They represent the worst that socialist and theocratic statism have to offer.

2)The main force preventing RKBA from taking hold in CA is the presence of an enormous social underclass which they want/need to deny arms to. In the 60s-80s it was blacks. Now it is mexicans. Before the 60s there wasnt even gun control in CA. Do the math. Get rid of the giant ghettos around the LA and SF areas and you get rid of the impetus for gun control.

3)That being said, if the US continues to swing right, CA and NY will eventually be brought along for the ride, thanks to the 14th amendment. But CA will probably spark off a nationwide crisis because of the illegal alien problem long before this happens. When CA goes into economic collapse mode, it will be ugly.

What do you think it will take....................

CA becoming a large reef off the coasts of AZ and NV.

I have heard that they have contempt for the gun control laws in Mexico and the people keep firearms for self-defense regardless of the law. Wouldn't that mean that they are supporters of RKBA.

Nope, it means they don't respect any laws. That would be a huge part of the problem right there. I can guaratee if it was gringos headed south looking for jobs they'd have that border shut down in a week.

Personally, I think the next eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano should be sufficient...

i dont think anything, no matter how catestrophic will get it into their heads that guns are not the problem, how they handle criminals IS the problem.

california wont change because of the other 49 states. many in the other 49 consider california to be "progressive" and look towards california as a role model for the rest of the country and plenty in california hold this same mindset and feel the rest of the country should follow california's "lead" on things like gun control.

i say turn california loose and let mexico have it. they seem to want it so bad...i say give them what they want.

Yeah, ive heard of that volcano before, but setting it off wouldnt hit CA, it would take out the red states around colorado. The magma tube is actually slowly shifting northwest. Give it a few more million years and it will be under king county washington.

If you asked me to put money on the roulette wheel of disasters, I think the big payoff is going to be from the earthquake.

Is anyone here aware of the fact that LA used to routeinly flood until they put up the dams around the city? A giant earthquake during rainy season would flatten the city and then flood it as the dams broke. If you threw in some soap and a few washcloths, it might actually be a decent place afterwards.

Hmm, perhaps if a whole bunch of people marched to the State Capitol :D

BTW, I think Weird Al's lyrics to Smells Like Nirvana describes the anti-gun politicals out there...

I agree with ProactiveReactionary.

California sees itself as being smatrer than the rest of the country, and regardless of what the other 49 states might do, California is supremely and blissfully convinced that THEY know best ... both what is best for Californbia, and what is best for the other states, as well.

They are, as a collective group, completely egotistical and unwilling/unable to deal with reality.

Some say the end is near. Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will. I sure could use a vacation from this
thulbhis three ring circus sideshow of Freaks
Here in this hopeless darning hole we call LA
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any darning time. Any darning day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay.

Fret for your figure and
Fret for your latte and
Fret for your hairpiece and
Fret for your lawsuit and
Fret for your prozac and
Fret for your pilot and
Fret for your contract and
Fret for your car.

Some say a comet will fall from the sky.
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still.
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipsticks.

One great big festering neon distraction,
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied:
Learn to swim.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Mom's comin' round to put it back the way it ought to be.
darn L Ron Hubbard and
darn all his clones.
darn all those gun-toting
hip gangster wannabes.
Learn to swim.
darn retro anything.
darn your tattoos.
darn all you junkies and
darn your short memory.
Learn to swim.
darn smiley glad-hands
With hidden agendas.
darn these dysfunctional,
Insecure actresses.
Learn to swim.

Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mom please flush it all away.
I wanna watch it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.

Time to bring it down again. Don't just call me pessimist.
Try and read between the lines.
I can't imagine why you wouldn't Welcome any change, my friend.

I wanna see it all come down. suck it down. flush it down.
