I recently took your advice and contacted Durofelt and placed an order. This is the reply I received from them:

I can offer you an alternative: item FM18H is 12" wide x 24" long x 1/8" thick in hard density @ $12.00 each. Will this work for you in the interim ????

Gatofeo's posts have helped this BR greenhorn tremendously. Can't thank him enough for smoothing some of the passages.

By the way, Harbor Freight has a 6 piece hollow punch set for only $3.99. They're drilled hollow rods with knurled grips. I find them cheaper and handier than the ones found in craft shops.

I just ordered those punches along with a jeweler's hammer (plastic, brass, steel tips) and a set of brass drifts. With the $5.00 coupon the total order was only about $16.00 and they threw in a free 25 ft rule, so now I can lay it down 3 times and know how far 25 yards is. ;)

I had to cajole our Ugly Cat to put pen to paper and write an article for a magazine. What he already told us should appear in a national magazine someday. He basically wrote it already and all he needs to do is take some pics and store them on a disc and send it in. I'm sure one of the major mags will pick it up. Go Gatofeo! :)
