i was looking at a 1999 hoyt raptor and was wonder if it is a good bow. and what to expect to pay.

It is an excellent bow if you are not a newbie bow shooter. The geometry on that bow might be a little unforgiving to a new archer. Can't help with the current price on those though. You might want to go checkout the Bowhunting.net (http://bowhunting.net/) message boards to get some answers.

I don't know about the specific year, but I don't think I'd pay more than $120-150 for a used one that's in very good shape.
