I just found this out last night at my local gun store that is also the Glock LEO distributor for my area. If you are Active Duty or Reserve Military you can buy a new Glock for the LEO price. That means that you can get a $550 pistol for under $400. Plus, you get three mags instead of two. Unfortunately, I'm not eligible, but I think it's great that Glock recognizes those of you that protect our freedom. Glock has gone up a couple of notches in my book, even though I'm a 1911 guy.

Other than getting the Glock cheaper, what good is it? They still can't use it in the military.

this program has been in place for over a year now, Glock did not make it public though.

however this program is only valid on purchases from an authorized Glock "LE" Dealer, not a non-LE dealer. this is because Glock discounts the prices of the LE-only firearms to the dealer, and in turn, they can only sell that weapon to an LEO or U.S. Military Personnel. they just photocopy your military or L.E. ID to show Glock they aren't selling it to civilians for the civilian price and increasing profit.

hope this helps, so you don't go and expect an "L.E." price from a non-L.E. Glock Dealer.

Henry,

I wondered how long it would take to for some to tell be to get back to work on "Lights Out". I figured it would take at least 3 or 4 replies, though. :p Thanks for the compliment. (That's how I'm taking it! :D )

Spread,

You're right. I found out about this because I saw an Air Force Seargent buy a new Glock 19 last night for $389 plus tax. After he left, I asked the clerk about it and he told me about the program. This store is the "LE" dealer in San Antonio. Thanks for the clarification.
