I am interested in purchasing an over/under shotgun for trap and skeet, and would like to get your viewpoint on the best quality for the money. Accuracy, reliability being the two greatest characteristics considered. Your opinion is respected and appreciated.
Thanks, Fred

Fausti...sold at walmart under the Traditions nameplate. Around $450, saw it once on sale for $350. My brother has one, handles beautifully, excellent finish (much better than the Amantino made Stoegers), really really nice...

Stoeger makes nice double barrels for around $400.00! If you're looking for something really fancy then check out the Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U. You should be able to find it for around $500.00 :)

I am new to shotguns. My interest for years has been pistol shooting. Now I would like to broaden my interest.
I do not see too many selections out there for lefties. I am getting great feedback on the Lanber 2098 from the folks on the Sig forum.
anyone else, please jumb in!!!!!!!

Yet again, you get what you pay for with O/U's. Find a good used Beretta, Browning, Ruger, or other major manufacturer's brand.
As a new gun, the Ruger Red Label I know for a fact will handle the amount of ammo that goes through a skeet gun. I put about 20,000 rounds through one before I had to have some warrenty work done to it, worn fireing pin springs. They replaced several other parts while they were at it though. Excellent warrenty work and turn around from Ruger. It was going on 50,000 shells when I finally sold it. It still is seen occasionaly being shot at the club.
Good entry level guns are around the $1000 mark.

Its a done deal. I'm going with the Lanber 2087. Got it under $500. I will upscale later depending on shooting progress and further interest. Your input has been much appreciated.

You won't go wrong with the Lanber. I have the 2097 and love it. It's a lot of gun for the money! :)
