Anybody have any good grizzly stories? I am intrested inb a grizzly hunt just wanted to know the routine. and how long they lasted how much fun. CAN YOU BOW HUNT THEM?

I don't think it illegal, but how fast can a bear bleed to death unless you have a 3 foot wide broadhead?
I knew a guy in Alaska who went bow hunting for Grizzly. He got within 50 yards of a bear that was unaware of him. Then he crept away quietly.
He got a bear later that year, with a .375 H&H.

Can you bowhunt them?

Yes you can. Folks do it avery year up here. Look up Fred Bear's name. In the early 90s Chuck Adams killed a Kodiak bear weighing in the 1200# range. He also took a NW Territories Polar Bear either before or afterward. The key is as always shot placement. My archery dealer has taken a few along with some other folks I know personally.
I've bowhunted them too, but never got close enough to take a shot.

The Outdoor Channel had a segment about a gal who did a guided bow-hunt for a grizzly. The guide and her husband were backup, but they weren't needed. One arrow, one bear.

She shot and then ducked out of the bear's sight. The bear just sorta meddled around in confusion, not travelling any notable distance. After a minute or two, he was bled-out and quiet.

The programs never really give any real-world cost info...
