H&K USP question

Hello everyone,
I have heard from a gun dealer that H&K stopped manufacturing the two tone full size USP's.
I didn't even know that the full size USP's came in 2 tones.
What are your thoughts on the value of this gun if they did quit making them in 2 tone?
I always wanted to purchase a USP9 and it's not for resale values. I just wanted to hear opinions on the chances that they will re-release the 2 tones again.
Also, when I spoke to the dealer, he had a full size 2 tone and it had an extremely flat silver finish to it. There was a compact model next to it and it was shiney silver like all the other 2 tone compacts I've seen before.
Does anyone know what this new finish is (good/bad)

I believe that HK (http://www.heckler-koch.de/html/english/civil/01_pistols/01_02_index.html) is still making the stainless USP. HK USA stopped importing it.
The ones that I have seen have a finish that is closer to shiny than flat.
Based on posts that I have seen, HK USA stopped importing it because it was not selling well. However, HK has new ownership, so it may return. HK USA has started importing the Elite, and the Expert in more calibers.

You can now only get USP compacts in stainless. I don't think that it would affect the resale value in any way wether you had one that was two-tone or flat black.
I do think that the stainless looks more attractive, plus I'm not incredibly impressed with the HE finish applied to the guns, my slide stop and hammer have some wear on them that would not be present if those parts were stainless.

Bergeron, even on the stainless USPs the slide release & hammers are blue, so that wouldn't be any help to you ;)
As for availablity & the such. Since the previous owners felt that the fullsize versions weren't selling well in the NIB market, I doubt there would be much of a premium on them now that they're not availble in the US.
Personally, I prefer the HE anyway :D

Actually, my USP is a stainless model, and like you said, it don't help the hammer, slide release, or extractor.
What I think that I would do next time would be to get a HE pistol (not much choice on that anymore), have the slide NP3'd, and go with a hard black finish on the hammer, slide release, and extractor.

Yeah, but the CDNN catalog says it is a "custom nickel finish"
I am trying to order one, I'll find out exactly what it is, and if I don't like it, I'll call Robar.

The slide is solid stainless steel. There is no crappy nickel finish that wears off.
The gun is a beauty. I've had mine for about six months now. Very happy with it. Go get one, you'll like it.
