I'd like to hear your opinion of it. I used a 9mm Tactical for a while to shoot USPSA Production and was quite pleased with it. The only thing I did to it was install a fiber optic front sight. :)

Rob Leatham could use a Slingshot in comp. and still whip half the people there...ahh except me of course! :neener:

I used an Xd-9 a few times in a local competition (before I trashed my arm) and it worked fine...I sucked of course but the weapon was fine... :D

Gonna get me a Cz-75 so I can suck with that as well... :neener:

yeah, well I've never sucked with an XD or a CZ-75. :neener:

I currently do my sucking with a G17. I have also been known to suck with a Model 15, and a 5906.

I used a XD 9mm Tactical last Saturday in the club 3 gun match. I did OK, won my class, 50+ shooters overall, Check it out www.udpl.net

I use an XD-9 4" with a Blade-Tech belt holster for IDPA competition. It is also the same rig I carry on the street.

Corey, I didn't know you were shooting an XD now. I have one, but I haven't started reloading .40 yet, so I haven't used it in a match yet.

Hmmmm........looks like I'm only one who has used one in USPSA matches so far? :(

Actually, the XD is coming on strong in USPSA Production Division. Especially since guys have started doing the great trigger jobs. Little over travel, half the take up, under 3 pounds. Great guns.

Springfield's Custom Shop now offers the XD Custom Pro with all the bells and whistles including a beavertail. For some strange reason they are pushing them in .45 GAP caliber (although they supposedly offer it in 9mm and .40 also). I say strange because the magazine only holds nine rounds which would put it at a disadvantage in USPSA's L10 Division and out of the question completely in Limited.

Still, it's a sexy looking thing! :what:

Larry, I thought I'd give it a try, it'll never replace my 1911 in IDPA. But for 3 gun, I will continue to use it. (until something else catches my eye)....

I use my XD-9 Service for USPSA Production. It seems to work quite well, certainly much better than I do! :what: It has been 100% reliable and plenty accurate for this shooting game. :)

The XD is a very good gun. IDPA killed it by putting it in EXP instead of SSP where it should have been. USPSA legal for production though thankfully.

CCW1911 - I think that's because Bill Wilson's shop doesn't sell XDs? :neener:

this thread details what I did to the gun to make it performance oriented production gun:

I shoot my XD40 in production and love it. I download the rounds to shoot minor PF, the gun is fast, tracks well, and never malfs.
