My "new" old security six after putting numerous rounds through a P32 and a PA-63.Man does a little steel make a HUGE difference!:what:

Amen to that. After a few mags through my P11, I just can't wait to settle into some gentle, fuzzy-bunny-puffs from my compact steel 1911.

Except for deep-cover and other 'niche' pieces, I prefer the heft of good old fashioned steel.

FWIW- I've found the "rolling" recoil of revolvers to be more pleasant that the snap of an auto.

Here's perhaps another reason to re-think this whole "featherweight gun craze":

Depends on what the gun's main purpose is -- to be there or to be fired.

My lightweights' purposes are to just be there 99+% of the time.

Understood!

The Kahr P40 I used to have would get maybe 20-25 rounds per range trip, while the USP40f would get the other box-and-a-half :D

The K40 I have now is a whole different baby!

Agreed ;) Larger guns are easier & more comfortable to shoot, but smaller lighter guns are the ones we usually carry and potentially use if the need arises.
