I have it bad. I was inspecting my G20 last night and fell asleep with it (no clip in, of course). I woke up with it right on my pillow--looking all cuddly. I just ordered the Galco Miami shoulder holster (say what you want but Miami Vice was the sh_t). Now I'm thinking, although I love my sweet 10mm do I necessary want to keep her in the Galco?

Heck, I want a COLT DELTA ELITE. Can someone direct me to one that's for sale. I'M A 10MM FOOL. If it were crack, I'd smoke it. There's nothing as smooth as a fully charged 10mm round coming out the barrell. And wouldn't I look so cool parading around in my convertable with my Colt resting in my Galco.

Brother's help me!!!!!!!!

I kinda want one myself. I passed up a LNIB blued steel example, a few months ago, priced at $700. There was NO visible wear of any kind anywhere. It didn't even look like the slide had been racked more than a few times. At the time, I didn't think I wanted a 10mm, so I referred a fellow 1911forum member who was looking for one. That guy was very happy, as you can well imagine, and he emailed me to thank me for the heads-up, and to tell me how perfect it was. After that sunk in for a couple of days, I was just sick about it. If I see another one like that, I'll be all over it.

Sorry, Bandit. How about this - When you run across a minty blued Delta Elite, shoot me a PM, and I'll snatch it up, sparing you from the burden. See, there? Gothca covered, brother. ;)

I missed out on a pristine Kimber TLE in 10MM for $800 at a gunshow last month.

I wish I could afford the high end 10MM 1911 style pistols but I'm just a broke TSgt. :(

Not to change the subject, but I read recently on thr Nuge sight that Springfield has some demo 1911 10mm's out that some have seen and touched. I've seen nothing on there website. Has anyone else heard about this?

I've got a couple of Colt DEs and they are by far my favorite 10mm pistols!

We sell a lot of the Kimbers, and I've shot them and like them almost as well.

And, yes, word on the street is that SA is going to be bringing out a 10mm 1911 in the very near future.

I bought my first DE from a co-worker LNIB w/2magazines for $500. About 11 years later, I bought a s/s DE for $600 w/ 3 magazines and two boxes of ammo. If they keep getting cheaper, I'm gonna have a bunch... :D

Lennyjoe--

I bought both my DE within the last 18 months for less than that $800 Kimber. One of them even came with the correct box and paperwork.

While neither is probably "Unfired, NIB" both were 98% minimum.

There are deals out there to be had--just not at the gun shows. Swap a little of you THR cruising time for GunBroker and Auction Arms, and you'll find yourself some deals.

Never mind those listings above...here's a nice shooter with a current bid of $450.

You could score your first DE for under $500!!

I picked up a nice Stainless DE with hogue grips at a show for $650 out the door. It was one of the earlier models with the straight slide serrations. It's a shame the thing never worked right, it was a pretty gun with the exception of an idiot mark on the frame.

If you get a DE in factory condition you might have to spend a little more $$$ to replace a few parts. Most owners opt for a 1 piece stainless steel full length spring guide instead of the factory plastic one. They also replace the dual recoil springs with a stronger single spring, maybe 24 or 25lbs.

I never could get the extractor working right on mine, so I ended up selling it. :(

Hey Boofus, I appreciate your help.

Snakeeyes, I saw the one on Gunbroker. I spoke to the seller about it. It's not in good condition, which is why it's being sold so cheap. A "ding" on the slide is trouble. Plus, it's scratched up and worn.

S&W 1006

This here itch gots ta be scratched. What's your opinion of the S&W 1006?

Bandit01:

This is the Sherman Tank of 10mm's. You will NOT go wrong with one of these. I carry mine quite often, in a Milt Sparks Versa-Max II IWB holster (albeit, one made for my S&W Sigma-if you didn't know better, you'd think it was made for the 1006).

I know where you can find a Colt Ultra Ten! I think they only made 400 of them. They're a stainless frame and blued slide. I like the looks of them better than the Deltas. This one is LNIB. PM me if you're interested.

I was looking over one of these DW Razorbacks in 10mm at the gun counter while I was waiting my turn on the range yesterday, the finish and workmanship on these is excellent, the only change I would make is to add adjustable sights. - skeeter_08

Not aimed at you there; more so the guy who registered, revivded a 4 year old thread and advertised his friends gun for sale - in the wrong forum. :uhoh:

I know this thread is old school, but anybody who has a hankering for Miami Vice, 10mms, and shoulder holsters should keep an eye on the Vltor Fortis (http://www.vltor.com/pistol.htm).

They're reviving the Bren Ten. It's gonna be sweet. ;)

I believe the last SHOT show had a new Delta Elite.

Both the Fortis and new Delta were at the last SHOT Show. The new Delta is on the market now. I have seen a few on gunbroker. Fortis has been delayed while parent company VLTOR diverted resources to the black gun surge.

I got rid of my SS Delta about 6 yrs ago and haven't looked back. The thing threw brass all over and bit the heck out of my hand. I looked at what the enhancements would cost and figured I could do without.
I wouldn't mind finding one of the Kimbers though.

If you are going full Miami Vice, you will need to track down the original Bren Ten. The Colts came later, and had trouble with frame cracking due to the .41mag-like torture of the 10mm. If you are lucky, you can find one, just be sure to find or make buffers for it. You are on your own for the white travolta jackets & pastel Tee's. Before you go nuts & pick up the Black Daytona or white Testarossa, you should know they were actually cheap kits to be torn up for the show.
