The story is at the link, and I believe the general political implications are being discussed on another thread, but I found the following excerpt from the story interesting:

...was shot in the chest by two large caliber sniper bullets...
I'm wondering what exactly a "sniper bullet" is supposed to be? If a ban on "sniper rifles" won't fly, I suppose a commie news organization like Reuters can just come up with the trendy anti-gun term of the week "sniper bullets" to add to the anti lexicon.

I think a ban on all nasty "bullets" that are shot at targets more than 25 feet away is in order.

...was shot in the chest by two large caliber sniper bullets...

And being shot in the chest by a small caliber bullet would have been better? (hint: read your WWI history...)

Or, to paraphrase Archie Bunker, would it have been better if he'd been pushed from a window?...

If I had to name a "large caliber sniper bullet", it would be a .50 BMG, which of course, has a lot of other uses.

In any event, I'm sorry about him. He seemed to be a good guy.Djindjic, married with two children, took office as Serbian prime minister in February 2001 after December elections, and often pledged to clamp down on corruption and widespread organized crime.

I think they probably meant sniper's bullets, as in the possesive.

It is true he was shot by a sniper.
It is also true that the sniper used bullets.

In that light, it seems fairly neutral.
