Mossberg 500A Marinecoat Price check

Hi i presently have a Winchester 1300 Defender for HD.
A local gun shop has the used Mossberg in his rack. Its in excellent shape except for some rub marks on the metal. It is factory stock with no add ons. Looks to have been shot very little or less. I can get it for $165.00 OTD
Hows the price?
Also can marks be rubbed out of the finish like stainless using steelwool or Scotch Brite pads, or will that cut through the finish?

That's a decent price for a used Mossberg 500a with the MC coating, if I'm not off the mark.

I doubt the marks can be removed. I suggest living with them....

The marks aren't a big deal, and don't bother me. My question was more for information only. My intentions aren't for a showpiece but something to set in the corner at camp.

I have a used Mossberg 500a (single action bar) from the early/mid 1960s...

I have yet to use it, but boy are the earlier Mossbergs nicely finished.

Thats a good price, they sell for over $300 new. I cant remember exactly how much I paid for mine.
