Wanting to get a Ruger Red Label over/under in 12 ga. They have a 26 inch barrel model and a 28 inch barrel model. Trying to decide which one to get. Will be used a general purpose over/under. For trap/skeet, upland hunting, duck, etc... Can only afford one over and under. (do not want a pump or semi)

In your shoes, I'd go with the 28" barrel set. Most folks shoot better at most things with longer barrels.
Red Labels are decent shotguns,enjoy....

Go with the 28" barrel, you won't regret it. It's still shorter than a pump or semi with 26" barrels.

The Rugers are light and whippy to begin with. I have a Red Label with 28" barrels and a Ruger Woodside with 30" barrels which weigh less than the 28s.
