"Lost" sub-forums?

Roundtable's closing, like it did with many others, got me to thinking. Not as to why it closed, but about other sub-forums included in the High Road.

A long, long while back, didn't we used to have an extended section of L&P? IIRC, it was something along the lines of State Legislature and Federal. It was located between where Rallying Point and Rifle Country are now, and all replies and threads made to either one were screened by the Mods before being officially posted. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't on TFL. That's about all I can remember. :uhoh:

Just out of curiosity, did we actually have those? I'm having so much trouble remembering it that I really can't be sure. :( If so, what happened to them and why?

Dionysusigma,

Yep, there did used to be a forum like that -- it was just for tracking current proposed legislation for folks who wanted to call their congresscritters and such.

Beren was in charge of it, and got swamped. Turned out there was just too darn much to keep up with, and I think he wasn't getting enough volunteer assistance, either. So we let it disappear and fold back into L&P, which is a lot less labor-intensive.
