Has the re sale value of Glocks gone down?

Since the recent frame rail issue & bad PR from 60 minute piece, I was wondering if Glock pistols have decreased in value on the used gun market...might be time to pick another one up :)

Well from the prices I saw at the local hardware/gun store today no they're not. But that's not to say it's everywhere. I'm sure some of the paranoid people will do it.

I recently passed on a really nice G29 with an E prefix serial number. I have no idea if it was on the "upgrade" list or not, but I didnt want to find out the hard way.

The Walther 99 is a better gun in most respects than the Glock in 9mm. Better trigger, better sights, more ergonomic. The HK USP .45, for all its flaws, is usually a better, more comfortable shooter than the Glock 21, and the Sig 220 is really a better gun than either. The Glock 35 (and maybe 26/27) seem to be the only Glocks remaining at the head of their class.
Time for Glock to improve the grip and trigger. I won't buy any more Glocks till they do so.

Not locally. Used Glocks rarely stay on the shelf if the dealer has a clue.

I have never had a problem selling a used Glock. They usually sell the same day they are advertised and for the price I'm asking.

Not that I've noticed.

Yes. At least in my area. I don't think it has anything to do with the reasons you stated though. There are just so many out there and they have been around long enough for many used ones to show up. Also some of the "newness" is wearing off.
I don't think the new Glocks have gone down in price any.
It is still easy to sell a Glock if you want to.

I've noticed a recent increase in numbers of used Glocks at a couple of local gunshops. The prices are reasonable, I guess, but I can't really compare it to previous prices because I've rarely seen a used Glock for sale in my usual shops.

Don't know about "price fallout"; but used Glock's
seem to be sailing off dealers shelves at a rapid rate.
Fuel for thought: It could be due to the beefed up
possibility of war in Iraq; and the likelihood of home
land terrorist attack's?
I've noticed more people being armed; a sense of
feeling that most Americans feel that their security
has been jeporadized.
Best Wishes,
