I can't offer my own personal experience with the Hind Sight since I don't use one but my dad had one on his last bow and he loved it. There are definitely some advantages to the system over the peep sight -- it's not on your string so there is increased speed, don't have to worry about peep rotation, no more fear of having a peep or the rubber tube snap you in the face. I tried shooting with it a couple of times and I just could not get used to it since I am a peep user. I do like the idea of it though. If you like that kind of system, you might also want to check out the No Peep.

Can you give us any info?
I thought I was pretty familiar with archery equipment but I have no idea what you're talking about.
Peeps are reliable and accurate if they are set up right and they have very little effect on string or arrow velocity.
I started out as an instinctive shooter almost 40 years ago and have gone thru a truckload of bows, hardware, and gadget accessories. Now I'm building my own longbows, shooting instinctive again, and having more fun than ever.

Kingcreek,

I admire your return to shooting instinctive and would like to do the same someday but I still have far more to master with the compound before I get to that point. The Hind Sight is similar to a rifle scope in that you align a rear cross-hair with your front pin. The resulting advantage is that you are not trying to center a small pin inside a large, open peep hole (or a pin guard in the peep), you just place the cross-hair on the pin. You can read more about the Hind Sight at Hind Sight's web page (http://www.hindsightco.com/Default.htm). With respect to arrow speed, the less weight you have on your string the more velocity you will get because of reduced drag. This (http://home.att.net/~sajackson/ke.html) is a great tool where you can see for yourself the effect of adding weight to your string through different components (peep sight, rubber tubing, kisser, nock points, etc.).

This is the first I've heard of this, so I read through their website. Looks like a good product. My only negative comment is that the distance from the "Hind Sight" to the sight pin looks rather short. To my way of thinking, it's not going to be as accurate as the much longer peep-to-pin distance when you're holding your bow at full draw. Also, I don't think it's going to improve shooting form as the site claims. Bad form is bad form no matter what sight (or not) you are using. I can hold my rifle in one hand and still look down the sights to the target. It doesn't mean my form is correct. Same goes with bows, to a lesser degree.

That said, I'm a sucker for a new bow gadget and would be willing to give it a try.

Never tried them. I use the traditional string peep and 3 pin sight for hunting rigs.

For 3-D i used a 4X scope sight that you could adjust the yardage on. Those days are gone though.

Now I use the hunting rig for 3-D shooting during the off season.

Birddog,

The way it helps to correct your form is by eliminating the need to center the pin in your peep. Because the pin is centered on the fixed cross-hair, there is not all the "space" surrounding the peep from a large peep hole which forces you to not torque your bow hand and when you do, it is much more obivous because the pin will show up skewed in the cross-hairs. BTW, I am not a schill for the product and don't even use one, just wanted to comment on it.

But as long as you are looking at new gizmos, check out the No Peep (http://www.timberline-archery.com/default1.asp). Similar concept but executed a little differently. A lot of guys seem to swear by this one.
