Does anyone know where to buy the Hogue Tamer 870 pistol grip? I've been looking around and only saw one once on Ebay. I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone have one they want to sell or know of a place to get one?
Also, is there a better alternative? I would settle for the Factory 870 police pistol grip but can't find that either.

You can reach Hogue and order the grip either on-line at www.getgrip.com (http://www.getgrip.com) or by telephone at 800 GET-GRIP (800 438-4747).
I suggest that you check out the new Knoxx (http://www.Knoxx.com) BreachersGrip. It removes all the recoil and allows you to comfortably shoot heavy 3" loads without pain.

I urge you to check the Archives and see what folks with lots of shotgun experience think about PGs on shotguns.
And my challenge still stands. Any PG fan can shoot against me, their COF, their choice of targets and ammo.I'll use a standard stocked 870. Shoot for score, time decides ties, though there won't be any.
Results posted rat cheer.

I'm not suggesting a pistol grip as a replacement to a standard 870 but instead a complimentary niche piece. I don't doubt your ability, or mine for that matter, to shoot a standard 870. I'm asking for suggestions as to where I can find a pistol grip, not proposing hypothetical gentlemen's competitions gun for gun.
I'll look into the breacher grip however $99 is a bit steep for a grip. Thanks for the advice.

PG only, alduro.
Estela, the competition is hypothetical only because nobody will take me up on it.
The reason I made the challenge is quite simple. PG only shotguns are bad for most things shotgun. And, in the real world, they get the wrong folks killed. I root for the good guys.

I agree with you Dave that they are bad for most things shotgun but not all things shotgun. In certain limited applications, such as breaching, window entries and close quarters, they exhibit handling characteristics some would prefer over full length firearms. Again, a niche piece not a replacement and with vast handling differences.
I too root for the good guys too.
Now back to the topic, again, what other recommendations do people have for a pistol grip?
