We've beat this Iraqi thing to death. So let's take one last swing.
I think it would be interesting to see in a simple format reasons either for or against. To save electrons dispense with "No one really wants war. . . " and the such. I will assume we are rational humans who detest the wanton take of human life.
I think war is appropriate because
--WTC I was an Iraqi hit
--OKC bombing was an Iraqi hit
--TWA 800 was an Iraqi hit
--Embassy bombing were carried out with Iraqi material support
--WTC II was carried out with Iraqi material support
--Iraq is a center of gravity in the Islamofascist terror movement against the US.
--Iraq has strong ties to Al Qaedo.
--Iraq's development of WMD and its ties to AQ make preemption valid self defense.
--Iraqi refusal to disarm per UN instructions is irrelevant to our move to war.
--The need for someone in the UN to exercise force is irrelevant.
--The US needs no country's permission to protect itself and its population.
--Sadaam is evil and needs to be removed--irrelevant
--We need to liberate the people of Iraq--irrelevant
In short my agreement on the appropriateness of war with Iraq is based only on what Iraq did to the US. Any other reason is irrelevant.
Swing away.
