Has anyone had an opportunity to use the "wide spur" 1911 hammer that was listed in Brownells catalog "New Products Supplement #1" (page 4) for catalog #57? The part number is #100-001-777.

I am considering using this hammer as a replacement on a Sistema Colt but I need to find out if its cast, MIM, or forged. This part would be getting refinished along with the complete pistol so I need it to match when its done.

Thanks

Catalog says tool steel machined to specifications, that generally means drop forged.
