For burn material?
Intelligence on the antis?
Naw... That'd drive up her sales.
I hope every one of them ends up with the front cover ripped off.
(Books are heavy, so bookstores usually just return the front cover for a return/refund rather than the whole book).

I almost puked up my breakfast at 0430 this morning when the Style section of the ComPost opened to a half-page color photo of her. Literally, my gorge rose.

Sure - I'll buy it when they print it on that 2-ply paper that comes on a roll.

JohnBT, that was NOT COOL! Gah!
Wasn't it Jim Webb who said something to the effect of "I wouldn't cross the street to watch her slit her wrists?" That's my personal favorite.

I am not a Viet Vet, but I lost some friends over there. Hanoi Jane should STILL be a resident of Leavenworth, KS. But they probably don't want her, either.

Jane peaked careerwise in Barbarella. Gone downhill ever since, IMNSHO.
Then she started to believe her own press releases about how smart she was and decided to be a Political figure so she married Tom Hayden for about ten minutes.
Then she decided to be a fitness role model for middle aged women.
Now she is a "Born Again" author that regrets "some" of her previous actions
"... but please, please, please buy my book to read the dirty stuff".
I don't care what she and her assorted husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends et. al. did in their spare time or whether Ted Turner closes the door when he uses the toilet. Feh!
Jane, go away and live out the rest of your life quietly doing good works like mother Theresa. I'll be much more impressed when I read it in your Obit than I am by your latest approach to self aggrandizement.

Not long after she married Ted Turner, Georgians began sporting bumper stickers:
"Jane Fonda, please call home. 1-800-HANOI"
Lotsa long memories out there...

I really am sorry, but I felt the need to share the misery after sitting down to eat my sandwich and seeing the pic in the Post.

Walking Arsenal, that story of Hanoi Jane handing over POW messages to the Vietnamese is false - see http://www.snopes.com/military/fonda.asp for details. However, she did more than enough harm even without that... :fire:

Vietnam Vets: Do you need this?
Unless she'd like to service me then swallow, nothing about what she says or does interests me.
The same day her photo on the NVA anti-aircraft gun was published, I was informed that a very good friend was killed on his second tour. He was murdered actually. He was flying medivac and was shot down. The wounded on board were shot and they cut his throat.

Jane just doesn't get it-if she would just shaddup and go live a private life, MAYBE in 20-2000 years, people might give her a pass. This is not the first time she issued a partial apology for her actions, but every time she does this, it just makes people madder than they were before!

Well my bird's cage does need a lil cleaning and my neighbors asked if I had
anything to use while they housebreak the new puppys, but other than that I
can't really think of any other reason to want this trash.
Oh wait a minute, the cabin's outhouse needs some new supplies....

I just read (a couple of days ago... don't remember where) that Jane thinks her trip to Vietnam was the worst mistake she ever made. She referred to her actions as despicable and treason, and pretty much became her own worst critic. She's probably full of it, but you never know... maybe she's starting to wake up. I dunno guys, what do you think, can Hanoi Jane ever be redeemed? What would she have to do?

This thread merited closing as simply off-topic, but a couple of the comments removed all doubt.
