What are the most dependable 10 rd .45 mags for 1911's McCormick, Wilson or is there some I don't know of?

I have 4 Wilson 10 rounders - 2 previous version & 2 current version. The previous version units took a little while to break in and are now 100% reliable. The current version units have been 100% reliable from day one.

I've had good use out of the Powermags.

I second the Wilson Bureacrat 10 shot magazines.
Mine have worked properly from day one.
Can't say the same for the McCormicks and the Mec-Gars I tried, matter of fact, mine still don't feed properly.

Get at least one of each and see which brand your pistol prefers.

I am happy with my CMC powermag, but NMshooter has the best advice.

Probably a toss-up between the Wilsons and the CMC Powermags.

Wilson. I had a CMC powermag, it worked great, but I did watch someone stuff one in their gun with sufficient authority to pop the plastic spacer off the bottom. The mag stopped when it hit the ejector. Oops. I prefer the Wilson metal stop although I have broken one of those.

I have several of the CMC Power Mags and they work fine. I just recently order 5 of the 10 Cobra Mags from Tripp Research as their mags and base pads fiit the STI single stacks with out modification. If you are shooting a STI the basepads on the CMC Power Mags will need to be modified to seat properly.

A friend of mine just got his pistol back from the smith with a new mag well attached. I am a big fan of the 10 rd power mags but the standard mag will not now work for him. It will require a little exacto work on the plastic biottom to allow it to insert far enough to latch. Not a big deal but he seems little inclined to take that course of action.

Thanks for all the response, I think I'm leaning to the Wilsons. I use the Wilson 7 rounders in it now and have had good luck.

I have a few of the McCormick ten round mags. I have never had any trouble with any of them. Watch-Six
