Slim panel grips for the Browning Hi Power?
Wood?
Having a heck of a time finding anything other than the thick stock grips or rubber grips.

Well, you could make some. BHP grips are pretty simple. You'll need some hardwood, a hand jig saw, a belt sander, a drill and stock oil.
They won't be checkered, but no minimal grip is going to be.

Mike, Brownell's lists Navidrex Combat BHP grips - "Thin Grips" in white or black micarta. Says in the book that they are checkered. Black is listed at $49.95, white is $57.99..

Both Kim Ahrend's and Craig Spegel each have lovely wood panels that are thinner than the stock plastic, or hard rubber ones.:)

The Navidrex thin grips are not as thin as they used to be. I used to order them from Brownells but they've not carried them in a while. When you order the thin ones, you get the palm swells. When you order the palm swells, you get the palm swells. The people at Brownells don't get it even when you explain it to them. The makers in the Philipines aren't making the thin ones anymore...or they shipped a bunch of palm swells ones by mistake. I haven't tried to order any for a while, so the situation might have changed but I got frustrated with trying to explain myself and haven't ordered any more grips from them.
I do have an extra set of the thin grips, though, if you are interested.

I find the Spegel checkered grips quite thin, and very nice, too.
I recently ordered a set of Navidrex Micarta (black) grips from Brownells, and they were thinner still than the Spegels.

Does Spegel have a website?
The LAST thing I want is palmswell.
I may well end up doing to a set of wood grips what I did to the wood grips on my TP-22 -- shave them down, slowly and carefully.

Spegel does not have a website. You can sometimes find them at www.pickagrip.com , or you can just contact Craig directly and tell him what you want.

Spegel.
Best there is, bar none.
Well worth searching for.
I was lucky nough to pick up a set for each of my HP's from Brownell's b4 they quit carrying them.
Cylinder and Slide has them from time to time.

Mike, slowly and carefully?!? Gimme that dang belt sander and stand back! ... And where's my hatchet?! :what:
:D
Whoops, forgot what I was really gonna say, editted to add:
Call Old Town Woodworking in Warrenton. Ask to speak to Dan Mulvena. Don't bother talking to anyone else. Get Dan on the phone (calling early is the best time to catch him, like 7AMish), tell him Nigel told you to call him. I'm kinda connected with Dan there ;) . Tell him you want to make a set of custom wood grips for your pistol, and he can hook you right up with a set of custom-made ones, for a fairly reasonable price. It might take a little time, but you can have a set of African Babinga grips, Ebony wood (beautiful wood, btw), or whatever you're mind can dream up. He loves piddlin with little projects like that.
You'll probably have to give him your pistol for awhile, but don't worry, I know where he lives.:D
