What guns - and what training - do the Vatican Swiss Guard have?

Despite their flamboyant uniforms, the Swiss guard of the Vatican are supposed to be pretty well trained soldiers. I've read that they use some sort of Sigs, and H&K's, but I don't know which ones. I would assume they've got guys on the rooftops with sniper rifles as well.

Does anyone have any more details?
