Got a Bushy lower today

Got a complete new lower today. I'm planning on ordering a 16" A2 Dissipator upper for it, and will install an ambi safety in the lower.
I was looking at the Accu-Wedge on Bushmaster's site. Is this a silly gimmick, or does it really do something. It's only $5, so it's not a huge investment.
What should I have around for spare parts (springs, firing pin, etc)?
Where are the best deals on 20 and 30 round mags right now? I figured I'd get a some GI, and maybe a few of the SA 80 mags also.
I'm finally joining the AR crowd.
Thanks.

Accu-wedge: Won't make your rifle one bit more "accurate" but may tighten up a little upper-to-lower slop.
A spare parts kit may be purchased through any of the major manufacturers.
USGI 20's and 30's are compulsory. Avoid commercial mags. Watch www.ar15.com for mag deals, or contact Tommy at www.georgiaprecision.com

If you don't mind my asking, what prefix does your lower have on it?
I was recently informed by Bushmaster that they now have two facilities producing lowers to keep up with demand. The L series are produced at the original plant while the new ones with the BFI prefix are made at the old.
I'm wondering if the BFI prefix lowers will someday command a premium if the second plant is just a semi permanent fix.
As for the accuwedge, it will help some of the slop between an ill fitting upper and lower. A bit of downward pressure on the upper will make operating the rear takedown pin much easier.
One user also posted using a small O ring around the front of the upper reciever takedown pin lug with good results. This might be worth a try before ordering a accuwedge.
Congrats on your new Bushy!

If you buy a Bushmaster upper, you shouldnt need an accuwedge. Definitely order some extra pivot/takedown pin detents, those little suckers fly pretty far. Most spare parts kits do not include a spare ejector, but do include an extra extractor, so you might want to pick up an ejector when you order a spare parts kit.

I have an all-factory Bushmaster AR. When I bought it 10 years ago, I didn't know any better, and fell for the "Accu-wedge". I thought it would help accuracy. Well, it didn't, but I left it in there. Now, when I take it out, there is play between the upper and lower. There WASN'T when I bought it.
Just an interesting side note... The Accu-wedge will NOT FIT in Rock River lowers. The place that the AW drops into is solid on the RRA's.
Save your $5.

Thanks for the replies.
It has the BFI prefix, so I guess it will be worth millions someday. ;)

Isn't BFI a waste management company?
