Starting to have serious doubts

Sorry for all the posts lately guys,

I recently ordered a wingmaster 12 gaguge 28" barrel. But now I'm starting to think I should've ordered the wingmaster classic trap for ~$170 more.
I'm a big wood fan-nicer grade of wood on the classic trap

don't know how much I should care about the 28" vs. 30" barrel

I'm probably going to try out hunting, but for now the only thing I'm sure about is shooting trap. Will also probably try out the other clay sports.

The wingmaster would probably make a better all around shotgun, right?

What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if the Wingmaster's 30" barrel has a higher raised rib, but if it doesn't, the 28" barrel is still GREAT for trap shooting. IMO, I needed a 28" barrel over the 26" because it swings better for me, but I would feel the 30" would be a little overboard.

You did good, take that wingmaster out and shoot the crap out of it. See if you do well on the trap range. I think you will. Oh yeah, dont think about "would my score increase if I had the trap version?" when you're on the trap range! :D

Keep the regular Wingmaster.

I f you go with a trap model, they would be set up to shoot a higher POI just for shooting trap. If I remember correctly they have about a 70-30 pattern. This is great for trap games, but if you shoot skeet or sporting with the gun you will end up floating your targets as much as a foot to get a decent break on them. Would be OK for rising pheasants, but other birds you may have trouble with.

I think the standard Wingmaster is a good choice untill you decide to get a stand alone trap gun just for trap and the 28" barrel is a good all around length for everything.

Congrats and enjoy.

WIngmaster + BA/UU/R = lots of fun and lots of effect. Shoot it until one of you breaks.....

Your supposed to collect the whole set. :D

Larry cannot reply right now. My last email from Larry " I am making Hulls , and having fun doing so..."

Reason I mention Larry...he is "educating" his brothers, kids, neighbors everyone about 870's different than those in 12 or 20 ga... :p

He is "making hulls" so he can "make shotshells"....I created a monster.... :p

Wait until I share with him the 870 comes in .410.... :uhoh: :D

That's on my list, along with the M42... So many guns, so little money. I'm trying to convince SWMBO that I'm getting them for the kids to use when they get old enough. The problem is one of these days they will be old enough. ;)
