Not sure if this is a real Dirty Harry Callihan model:
A local gun shop has a Model 29, 6" barrel, mint condition, black, wood grips included, rubber grips on the gun, and a nice wood box for $490.
I think Harry's gun was a 4" barrel, but this thing really looks nice. Is this a good deal?

The "Dirty Harry" gun is a model 29-2, 6.5" barrel. S&W changed to a 6" barrel with the model 29-4 (could be wrong on the dash model).
Mint, with both sets of grips and the box for $490? I'd take it. But I have a thing for blued N- frames.

JREwing:
It makes quite a bit of difference where you are. In the People's Republic of California, for example, $490 would be a steal. Where I live in Colorado, that wouldn't be an unheard of price, but it'd be on the high side.
I'd pay $490 for a model 29 or 29-2 in truly excellent condition with box, tools, and papers.
