Anyone on this board ever consider having a 28" vent-rib barrel nickel finished to match a Remington marine magnum? Just had a crazy idea to have an extra barrel kicking around done up like this. I'm not even sure if I'd use it but it seems like a pretty cool idea. Hell, why not if only for shi%* and giggles.

If you have considered this, how far has your planning gone? Who would do it, how much would it cost, who's finish is closest to the marine magnum?

I can't say I've considered refinishing it, but I do have a 28 vent rib barrel for my marine magnum so that friends and family have something to use for duck hunting when they visit. I'm actually leaning the other way . . .thinking about spraying the receiver black so it's not so shiny for hunting.
