There I was last night thumbing thru the channels with my 'mote' when I came upon the tailend of the "Crossing Jordan" episode(4/10/05).

What, perchance, did I observe? Well, the terribly bad guy, had done a BTK number on a number of comely females and by virtue of technical difficulties was going to be released back upon the well deserving public. To show his contempt for the authorities he decides to excercise his will upon the DA who was trying to keep him occuppied in his room in the Graybar Hotel.

The gallant male dr. charges out to the parking lot and observes the DA's car sitting with door open and keys in the ignition. The frantic looking around to see if he can heroically leapt to the rescue. Then a gun shot from deep in an alley.

The heroic dr. runs into the alley and finds the really bad guy lying dead in front of the DA who is holding a pistol. "He could not believe it when he found out that I was carrying"(sic) was her statement to the heroic dr.

Is this a fluke or does it indicate some arrival of intelligence on the part of the writers?? "Wandering minds Wonder" or is it "Wondering minds Wander"?

It's possible. But don't forget, most gun grabbers consider DAs to be above us commoners and thus have a greater right to self defense. That said, I like the show

+1 nico...thats what they are pushing for in illiinois. concealed carry for DA's because they are at risk for locking up scumbags.

but the common civilian is not worthy of defending their lives.

Why do you all think I put up with the long hours and low pay? :D

The way I see it, Sean Connery gave me the best advice in "The Untouchables."

"Do you carry a badge? Then carry a gun."

I was afraid that they are going to find that she lured him there to kill him. A kind of perverted sense of justice runs awry kind of theme.
