Hi all,
As a new owner of a .577(.58) 3 band Enfield Armi Sport replica
and I am having a hard time figuring a range of powder charges with say
280gr balls and 480gr minies.
The only thing the manual states is" for best accuracy use 60 grs of FFG"
yet it gives you no idea of what the max load is (on a real 3 band, Im given to believe the british used 68gr as a standard powder charge, and we used 60gr of black powder)
and with the use of triple 7 powder...i get two stories 1. use the same volume for volume 60gr=60gr, and 2. reduce the load for triple 7 by 15% as it is hotter. I got in the new Hodges loading manual and basic muzzloading manual, today and it has no loads for the .58(only goes to .54) Help!!!
what are all of you Armi sport owners using?
