I went to a gunshow this weekend and on the way out I stopped by teh ammo tent. Guy there had three 30rd mags in a pouch going for $30 each. They were pretty worn on the exterior and were made by Sanchez and Century I think.

Myy friend and I were about to buy two when I noticed that they all said Law Enforcement and Military use on the side. I immedietly put them down and walked away. I was under the impression that You can't legally purchase these. Am I wrong?

You can legally purchase these under the following conditions:
You are an LEO and require them for duty use.
You are in the Military and are purchasing them for the government.
You are an FFL holder purchasing them for resale to one of the above.
You wait until after the assault weapons bill sunsets.

You can illegally purchase these or you can just find any of the pre-ban ones that are going for around that or less in new condition. This guy sounds like a crook and one who is gouging also.
