A teenager killed his friend in Palmdale CA with a baseball bat after he teased him about loosing a game. Could there be a lawsuite against Louisville Slugger?? Or an aluminum ball bat ban?

Stevie-Ray April 14, 2005, 09:09 PM Why certainly. After all it is Finklestein's real estate. If I don't hear that exact thing in the next few weeks, I'm gonna call her and put the bug in her ear. thorn726 April 14, 2005, 11:42 PM Judge Overturns Verdict Against Gun Company in Fla. Teacher's Slaying By Jill Barton Associated Press Writer Published: Jan 27, 2003 WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A judge threw out a $1.2 million verdict Monday against the company that distributed the gun 13-year-old Nathaniel Brazill used to kill his teacher 2 1/2 years ago. Circuit Judge Jorge Labarga ruled that the Nov. 14 award for the teacher's widow was inconsistent because the jury also determined the gun used to kill Lake Worth Middle School teacher Barry Grunow was not defective. give it up already. this happens everywhere. Zrex April 14, 2005, 11:58 PM They should ban bats AND require kids under 18 to wear full protective gear when outside the home. thorn726 April 15, 2005, 12:01 AM they should really ban lawyers. finally we do have anti frivolous lawsuit legislation happening. RRG= more ammo for you- under 18 must by law wear a bike helmet. bicycles in Berkeley (statewide? i dont think, maybe) = can technically be confiscated if not registered. of course, this is an anti homeless law. my bike would never get checked, but kid's, or homeless person's would Mrs. Armoredman April 15, 2005, 12:08 PM The next thing they will do is require baseball players to lock up thier equipment so no kid can kid ahold of it. Then they will require parents who by a bat for thier child to regestier it. This is just plain dumb. armoredman April 15, 2005, 12:46 PM the same state who wanted, and STILL want to put a $.05 tax on every round sold to pay for trauma centers, even though it would only go into lawyers and politicians pockets..... 50 Shooter April 16, 2005, 05:01 AM They wanted to ban camcorders here after the Rodney King incident. :uhoh: Edmond April 16, 2005, 11:16 AM will they ever pass CCW for bats? I don't think they should, only the police and politicians should be able to carry bats. :D whm1974 April 16, 2005, 03:33 PM bicycles in Berkeley (statewide? i dont think, maybe) = can technically be confiscated if not registered. of course, this is an anti homeless law. my bike would never get checked, but kid's, or homeless person's would Are you making this up? Show us a link. -Bill TinCup April 16, 2005, 05:14 PM I vote to immediately require a baseball bat lock on all bats in households where children under the age of 18 reside. All aluminum bats are hereby deemed terrorist weapons and are banned from sale, use or posession in the Peoples Socialist Republic of **********. ocjared April 16, 2005, 11:29 PM I think the most effective method of detering bat wielding criminals is to microscopically engrave a serial number on the bat. Thus leaving an imprint on the victims forehead. :banghead: thorn726 April 17, 2005, 01:22 AM uh, for the doubters, this is the grounds = http://www.ci.berkeley.ca.us/bmc/berkeley%5Fmunicipal%5Fcode/title%5F14/68/020.html it's local , not statewide. and again, bashing CA for something that happens everywhere is exactly how it will creeep into your state......... NY (LI?) banned dodgeball while i was in high school. how lame is that? should i hate NY or should i ahte $$grabbing parents wh ouse any excuse to sue rather than pay for their kids college because its so expensive? you guys just see something happen in CA, complain about how lame all CAs are, pretend nothing of the sort happens in your state. (sure, no one outside CA ever sued a gun manafacturer?),spend all your time making jokes and none of it making progress.
