What is the normal price range for a Luger 9MM 1916 #2685, stamped "German," assuming good original condition?

I'm no expert but if it says German, in English, it sounds like a commercial export model rather than a military gun. But if it's dated 1916 I don't think they were making commercial models at that time (WW I was in full swing at that time). It might be a parts gun, with the toggle (the dated part) being from a 1916 military pistol mounted on a commercial frame. I would want to ask a real Luger expert to see it before buying (unless it's priced as a mis-matched shooter, say $300 or so then I would take a chance on it), selling, or putting an estimated value on it.

As "thatguy" said, if it is marked "GERMANY" it is an import gun. Is it 9mm or 7.65mm (.30 Luger)? Many Lugers were imported following WWI when the Allied prohibited the Germans from making pistols in 9mm Parabellum, so the Germans rebarrelled the guns in .30 Luger for export to the US and other countries to get hard currency.
The date, though, is on the top of the chamber, not on the toggle, so it might help to know what the toggle marks are and if the serial numbers match.
