Hey guys,

Besides my Walther P99, I ended up buying the Sig 229 in 9mm. I does feel like a real gun compared to the P99. I don't have any gripes with the P99, but sometimes I feel too concerned of messing up the gun. Like its a luxury car that you are too concerned where you drive it and door dings and stuff.

With the Sig I feel like I don't have to worry about it when conceal carrying it. I am happy I got it, nothing wrong with the P99 just that it is more like a luxury gun.

Now I got a guy who's selling an HK-91 rifle, do you guys know anything about it? Is it worth it? How much maintenance does it require compared to handguns and if HK-91 not a good choice then what is?

thanks,

How much is he asking for the HK 91? If it's a good deal, I'd get it. If it's just the going rate, then decide if that's the kind of rifle you really want. There are other choices.

I'd go for Springfield M1A. Had a couple, great rifles.

When I got my SAR-48, it was between that and the HK-91 variant. (SAR-3) The FAL variant won out, but I liked them both a lot.

whoa your p99 feels like a luxury gun? wow. I just picked mine up, and it reminds me of my friends glock 22 the tenifer finish, the lightweight frame when you remove the slide.. I cannot wait to shoot mine.

BTW yeah I would get the HK-91 doesnt that shoot 308s? nice.

If it's a genuine HK91, then it's worth $1600-2000 depending on condition and accessories.

I love mine. They can be a chore to clean well, but that is not important to me. Just about any semi-auto rifle is going to be more work to clean than the average pistol.

Yes it's .308/7.62 NATO.
