Colt S/N Question - Series 70

I have a Colt Series 70 Gvt Model .45 with
a serial number of 71B0899 ... can anyone
help me with date of manufacture and
value... the gun appears unfired and in
mint condition.

Your Colt was produced after 1985, which is as far as the publically available records go.

For a production date, call Colt. They'll give you a date over the phone, but NO other info.

I just sold 71B1978 last month, it was brand-new production.

ok.. thanks for the input/info... I will have to call Colt and see
what they say about it..

the dealer was relocating and selling all his inventory down..
he had this priced orig at 720 and I got it for 580.. so, was
happy with the price.. anxious to shoot this one.
