So what do ya think about the announcement by HK getting the big contract for Home Security/ Border Patrol/etc? What do ya think of Glock missing the big one on this as well as other Mfg's like S&W, Baretta, Etc.

After reading the HK press release it seemed to me HK flat out had the superior weapon. I'm not an owner nor familiar with them but they make a lot of models, hand sizes, decockers, special triggers and a few other gizmos that would fit right in for a big Bureaucratic purchase.

I know a lot of DHS people are going to be reluctant to give up their Glocks. And I've already ask to buy my friends. He thinks they'll be collected and destroyed. Any info on this? Curious, Because as a taxpayer its seems a big waste of our money to change some 65000 weapons for one's that work just fine. Convince me I'm wrong here. :cuss: Your thoughts? Thanx

When you're spending taxpayer money, it's easy to give in to the New Gun Jones.

Sigarms landed a contract with DHS, too, so it's not just HK that gets to make a buck.

We wouldn't be having these stopping power issues if we stuck with .45 Long Colt.
