Had the training for CCW in S.C. today, 8 long hours, but very worth it time!

Good luck with the qual's - then I guess, some paperwork, submit and wait?

I am fortunate here - no training pre-requisite, tho to be honest, I wish every new CCW would at least come and do my NRA Basic Pistol - and some. Makes for better proficiency and safety IMO.

I just did my training today in Ohio, and it was basically the NRA basic pistol training. Not having been around guns a lot, I learned quite a bit, and had fun shooting my pistol for a couple of hours... Best part was that the class was just my wife and me, so we got a lot of personal attention and both qualified with no problem. We even got to shoot several different pistols, and the weather was perfect, which is odd for Ohio in April! The whole thing was done in one 12 hour day, so I get to apply on Monday.
