The UGLIEST pistol I have ever seen!
Onslaught
March 14, 2003, 02:08 PM
I was just searching the Taurus USA (http://www.taurususa.com) website for a picture to add to another post, when I came across a gun SO ugly, and with such a STUPID name, that I could not contain myself from sharing.
Ladies and Gentlemen... the Taurus 24/7!!!

Hi-Point owners can bring their pistols out with PRIDE knowing that their secret shooters are downright PRETTY in comparison!

Looks like someone mated a SW99 with a Highpoint and stamped Taurus on it.:barf:

That's downright ugly no doubt. I don't know if it's as ugly as a Hi-Point. I think it's a toss-up.

Have you guys seen the little 22 lr Walther P22 or whatever it is? How about the S&W Sigma? The sigma is just positivley swinging on the wrong side of the road if you know what I mean. The Taurus up top is ugly, but not award winning ugly IMO.

That thing IS pretty ugly but......worse than a Highpoint? As Ralph Wiggum would say......."Thats unpossible!" :D

It may be ugly but it's still better looking than a Glock.
Now let me take a moment to put on my Nomex underwear. :D

The proof is in the pudding. As long as it shoots OK, it will....... oh, wait, this is a Taurus semi-auto, never mind.....that is the ugliest-looking brick I have ever seen.

There is a version of the Japanese Nambu (not the common one) that I feel wins it for ugliest of all time!
Someone on TFL/1911Forum had a picture of one a while back.

"those grips look really comfortable"
I agree. The shape of the backstrap looks like it will fit nicely.

I checked out that "ugliest gun" on 1911 Forum....Nambu T94:eek: I wonder what hallucinogenic drug the designers were on? BTW....That Taurus lower looks a little like the plastic CZ:scrutiny:

Why would you want to share that!
I feel sorry for you having run across that unknowingly!
Hi-Point still holds the honors, though.:)

The Liberator is much uglier, perhaps of all.... ;)
The Highpoint is in a class by itself. :neener:
This one tries hard to infiltrate the market niche of the newer polymer gun models like the P99, SW99 and P2000....
But sucks miserably doing so! :D:D:D

Instead of trying to make guns look distinctive or classic, they are slowly going towards modern or unique.
Unique is not enough, it also needs to be functional, and if it's ugly the reason for it's uglyness must be apparent, like added features, etc.

I think it's kinda cool actually.......I'd pay US$350 for it if I could legally CCW it.
Americans should be darn grateful for their second amendment rights and the easy availability of quality firearms.

What it lacks in aesthetics, it looks to make up in ergonomics.
Looks to be more of a "shooter" than a "looker". Still palatable enough for sales, anyway.
Uglier than a Highpoint? We'll see Islam convert the Papacy before anyone tops Highpoint.

Looke like another attempt to copy the best polymer handgun around, the P99. The first attempt was the P2000.
