I just completed this sling over the weekend. I made it at the request of a customer of mine (I have made a couple now)...The thongs/cords and cradle are all constructed from leather.
This sling is approximately 35-1/2" folded in half.
Neat huh?

Beautiful.
Where'd you learn to work leather like that? I especially like the "acorn" braid to caputer the end of the sling.

Alot of reading, and even more "trial and error"...
Making a sling like this one takes about 3 hours...Even longer if you discover a braiding mistake half-way through the process... :banghead:

Neat.
This is a *real* potential weapon, and if the Palestinians are using these, I can understand Jewish soldiers firing back.
Welcome to THR, Cuz Jack. :)

I have a buddy who uses his sling while quail hunting. He'll sling a rock into a bush, flushing out the birds, while his hunting partners stand by ready with their shotguns.
