A Tucker Cover Up (http://store.yahoo.com/rlcompanyusa/coverupiwb.html) works well for me and my 3" SP101.

Ok - this ain't IWB but - throwing it into the pot anyways. This is a copy of a Jim Burke (RIP Jim) ... made for me by Kevin of K&D Holsters. It holds tight to body - plenty of cant (my choice) - tho here that looks a tad exaggerated due to my posture.
No way trying to talk you out of an IWB - just that I never get on with them. Leaving that aside, I think a snub revo can do very well OWB and give a better comfort factor, while still being extremely tight to body. This set up lets gun butt just nestle into my 12th rib - a reassuring presence!

Larryw: Where'd you get the grips? Nice holster, too.
Ric: that's different!
Stay safe.

Thanks Bob. Those are Hogue fingergrip Cocobolos w/o the checkering (bought them as seconds from the Hogue website). Prefer them to the Hogue and Pachymar rubber grips: wider to spread the recoil from nasty loads and doens't snag on draw.

For me anyway..I carry my SP in a Desantis thumb break holster, between my belt and pants....I'm too fat for IWB..but this set up holds the gun in real close...plus I can use a regular belt and not spend $80 on a gun maker brand.
Larryw...I have the same grips, but I find them waaaay to slippery...I like the Monogrip(for me ti doesn;t seem to snag or print,I wear loose clothes)I keep the wood Houge for a "sunday go to meetin' grip"... :D

Tony, strip the wax that Hogue ships them with and use some Linspeed Oil instead. ;) (That's not a typo: "Linspeed" Great on M1 stocks too)

I've caried my sp101 daily for several years now. I've learned one thing concerning IWB carry:
It takes a very good rig(Rosen, Sparks, etc.) because these guns are short, fat, and heavy. This requires a good rig for comfort and stability.

Carry my 2 1/4"er every day in a Bianchi S3 Pistol Pocket which is a IWB. I did take it to the cobbler and have him pull a line of stitching across the bottom of the belt loop effectivly reducing the loop so that it fit my belt snuggly. I have no problems.

Bad me- I forgot to mention who I use right now.
Ankle: spent around $500 on different rigs without getting one that was comfortable/secure for a solid 12 hours. Finally bucked up & spent $120 on an Allessi rig- BINGO, never looked back!!!
Also- Our own PCRCCW makes holsters for a living. Good work- I have several of his holsters and belts, high quality gear. His website is www.hbeleatherworks.com . Give him a shout with your questions, he'll have the answers you need, I'm sure.

I carry my sp101 comfortably in a Milt Sparks Versa Max II. Its a good holster for revolvers because the loops are out to the sides, not stacked on top of the cylinder.

Tony, Linspeed oil is tough to find; a local shop occasionally gets some and I buy a jar if I'm low (don't stock up, it doesn't keep).
You can order some here (http://www.huntamerica.com/linspeed/), but I've never bought from these guys.

I have a fine SP101 holster from Andrews, and carry a Det Special in it.

I have a SP101 that is carried in a Milt Sparks PMK belt holster that is just SSSSSSWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!
I wish that I were able to get a carry permit to carry it all the time. Living on Long Island, NY makes my chances of hitting Lotto, being elected President, and chosen the most handsome man in the world all at once more likely than my chances of getting a carry permit though. :fire:
