Hi all,
I am thinking of trading my Glock 29 for a 1911. Now, knowing almost nothing about the beast, I want to know what gun is comparible to the Glock. The G29 has the added value of an custom .40 S&W barrel. Please bear with me, 'o great, powerful, and wise moderators for I am a bit confused here!!

Where did the 'custom S&W barrel' come from? Who fitted it? Is it reliable with 40 ammo? Not sure this will add much to the value of the gun.
Assuming just the two 10 rd mags and the original case, manual etc... and NO NIGHT SIGHTS, I'd say you should try to sell it for $450 and I'd take the first $425 offered. Trade in will probably be $50-$75 less than that, so $350 to $375.
I like the 10mm but many will feel it kicks too much, esp in the G29. And some have a notion that 10mm ammo is impossible to find.
Good luck.

those glocks are time bombs just waiting to KABOOM and take a few digits w/ them. good idea to rid yourself of the liability. tell ya what...
i have a certified glock disposal unit here at home. box that baby up and send it to me and i'll save you the trouble of having your fingers sewn back on.

Dont do it.
Keep the Glock and buy the 1911.
Variety is the spice of life.
