Difference between Savage 10 serie and 11 Series rifles

I am looking for a bolt action .308 and will probably end up with a Savage Arms. What is the difference between the 10* series rifles and 11* series rifles?

Same action. Different stocks and barrels. The 10s usually have varmint/heavy barrels. The 11s are more for hunters and thus have shorter, thinner barrels.
