Hearing a rattle/noise in my HK USPc 9mm

OK, before you think that I'm losing it, I hear what appears to be the plastic buffer sliding across the recoil spring when the pistol is unloaded. I shake the pistol and the sound appears sometimes.
On a few occasions, I heard the sound when the pistol was loaded, with a round chambered, but this is not the norm.
It's kind of disconcerting to hear the plastic buffer move across the spring but what do I know? Anyone who has an HK with similar characteristics, sounds, 'rattle'?

my .40-C down the same thing. its a little annoying at times. if i run or jog you can hear this rattle on my hip. kind of a give-away. i've been pondering ways to make it stay put and i've been thinking of brushing a thin layer of epoxy into the "U" of the frame just in front of where the buffer contacts the frame. just to snug it up a tiny bit. then when you rack the slide to load the gun, it should push the buffer snuggly in place and hold it there. you can't attach it to the spring, because the spring contracts and expands of course, and i don't want to build of the outside of the buffer with hard epoxy because the buffer is meant to flex and give a little. i can always sand away or brush on more epoxy to get the desire fit.
another more temporary solution might be to get some 1/4 inch masking tape and put one layer on the buffer at a time until the buffers stays put.
any other ideas?

One of the boys on the HK board suggested some grease on the buffer, near to the recoil spring. Good idea. This is my #1 pistol and it shoots A-OK nonetheless.
