A buddy of mine who I sold my KZ45 to said it went full auto. 5 rounds burst, not sure if it emptied the mag or just went to 5 rounds.
They haven't been able to duplicate the problem.
It feel to half cockback when I owned it and I had it but sent it to Wilson as a precuation, they said they weren't able to find anything wrong with it.

Could have been dirt or crud in the trigger mechanism.

Sear problem most likely. I'm sure Wilson has alreay been contacted and will be making repairs ASAP.
Has it had the shok buff regularly replaced and does it have the metal or plastic guide rod?

Customer brought FLG a Springfield Loaded that had done the same. No obvious cause there, either. FLG theorized that it is because the debased 1911 descendents, copies, and knockoffs no longer have true half cock notches. Colt went to a hammer with a "safety stop" way down on the hammer face when they put in the S80 lawyer levers. It is supposed to catch on the sear if the hammer gets knocked off of full cock somehow. But there is no undercut to hold it there. I don't know why. But it is set low because pulling the trigger will drop the hammer the rest of the way and they could not let it build up any speed that might cause it to fire.
But, with a little wear, misfit, or "adjustment" the hammer can follow and the sear just skim over the edge of that "safety stop." Or so goes HIS theory. We KNOW the gun(s) went off.
Do Wilson hammers have half cock or "safety stops?"

Yes, they have half-cock notches.
I don't know if my buddy contacted Wilson yet.

A half cock notch may help stop the auto fire once it's started, but the failure has to be in the disconnector or sear springs for not pushing the sear into the regular hammer hook. Since the disconnector should prevent the trigger from pushing the sear off the regular hook AND the half cock, its not the half cock's fault.
Complimentary 1911 flame:
Can anybody think of another combat gun that doubles or goes full auto? Not quite an everyday occurance, but I've seen it more than once on the 1911. But I've never even heard of it in any other common design.
