I want to put some tritium sights on my new stainless Colt 1911. What are the best, longest lasting, and brightest brand (I know this is terribly subjective.) Also, who can mill a dovetail for a non staked front sight and install them for me? I have a tax refund check and really want to get this fixed up right.

I have Wilson tritium on my KZ45 and Meprolight on my Kimber. Of the two I like the Meprolight the best. They are by far the brightest that I have seen and used.
Others with more experience feel free to chime in here...

go with the novak bar/dot combo or the heinie straight 8 slant pro..

both should have decent turnaround
