I just bought a Baush and Lomb Elite 4000 6-24X40 mm AO used for 50 % of what it would have cost new. I want to use the Ruger to Weaver Base Adapters to give me extra space between the rings ( the mounts are close together on the #1 V). I am trying to find out what height of Burris Signature rings I should use on the adapters to keep the scope close to the barrel, but not too close that the scope will strike.
