Go to www.pistoldynamics.com and check out their engraved revolver. That is one "best-grade" work of art! His 1911's are definitely the most aesthetically pleasing I've seen, too.

This picture is of a twin to my Delta Gold Cup.
The purdiest gun in the world. :D
Minus the pink mag base. :D

A high polished stainless 1911 is just about the best looking firearm in my eyes.

That 1911 pictured at Eabco's website advertising their French Gray plating is the prettiest I've seen!
http://www.eabco.com/cssfg.html

Hey, wait a minute... that's my 1911 !
:D

After sending in my Kimber Custom Classic for electroless nickel plating a few years ago, I was called to see if I would allow for my Kimber to serve as a "model" for his French Gray advertisement. In return, he would include some snazzy hexhead grip screws upon return. What the heck, why not? Turn around took about a week longer, but no big deal.

So there she is... that's my girl.

Hard to pick a favorite, but there are many that would be contenders for the "prettiest gun" title.

A moderately customized Springfield Stainless Loaded:

A Browning BDA .380 in factory nickel, with walnut grips:

A Beretta 950BS Jetfire Inox, with black silverwood grips:

A S&W Model 65, 3" heavy barrel, with Ace Dymondwood grips:

The prettiest handgun ever made?

For my tastes, the U.S. pistol, Cal. 9MM, M-9! (Beretta 92) Colse second: box stock Glock 17

I have two that sit in the safe....one is a fully engraved Renaissance Browning Hi-Power and a rare (only 300 made) Colt "Classic Gold Cup". Has a polished stainless frame, deep mirror blued slide with jeweled trigger and barrel hood all done in the Colt Custom Shop. I can email pictures if someone can post them for me.

My favorite pic of a handgun was the pics of the early stainless steel Stoger Luger pics in one of the gun rags. Just a cool gun. Also like the same gun in 45ACP in a later mag.

Well, the best looking gun I have ever seen is my M1 Garand. As far as handguns go, I really like this one 1911 I saw advertised in a gun rag. It was one of those "Collector's Edition" 1911's that are $2K+ from the company that sells all of the fancy 1911's in cases. They had one that was rattlesnake themed. Had rattlesnake skin grips and a snake engraved on it. It looked kind of ghetto, but I really liked it. Second would be a Luger.

The sight would be so beautiful it would bring tears to my eyes :o

*picture index-
1. Glock :barf:
2. Steamroller
3. One pissed off looking Gorilla who would probably take the Glock and break it in half!!!!!!!!! and maybe eat it, haha- Then it'd be lead poisoning or something and die- and then PETA would hunt down Gaston Glock and then they'd beat him down, with like attack staffs made from all natural fiber wheat and then they could have guns made from rocks and tree branches and some mud (to hold the rock and tree branch together). It would be a mighty awesome creation.

So you are saying that you like or dislike Glock? I cannot really tell how you feel about that particular weapon. Tell us how you REALLY feel.

:)

I happen to be in the rare crowd of those that like the Glock and the 1911.

I'll admit when I first saw SIG's back in the mid-80's I was shocked by their unconventional looks but now I think they look pretty darn good.

These pistols aren't mine but the P220ST (bottom) is the same model I have.
*With apologies to the real owner. But I saved you the trouble :D

I don't have a picture but if you look up Son Tao over on the old Firing Line he posted a picture of a polished 1911 done in boron carbide.

It is a ghostly silver grey that has to be seen to be appreciated.

Easily the prettiest gun I have ever seen.

Colt Gold Cup Commander custom job by Ned Christensen at Michiguns. I lifted this photo from his site. The custom fixed sight replacing the Eliason sight is a really nice example of what an accomplished guy can do. The Ivory stocks don't hurt either!

There are a lot of details on this gun that are really something. For more see the photo gallery at www.m-guns.com

Bambam,
I'm sorry to say that your post about my post about Glocks seems like it was inpired by a goat. Especially considering the fact that you misspelled inspire.

Dixie Chicks? There's a difference between disliking Glocks and bashing the president in front of a foreign audience. Do you have a shrine for Gaston Glock in your room? If so, what does it look like? Also, if he ran for president, would you vote for him?

Dreaming of you making sense,
Yohan

This should really be two separate questions. It should be what is the best looking Semi auto and then what is the best looking revovler because everbody know that semi autos are quite ulgy compared to revolvers.

With that being said, I think the Walther PP is the best looking semi auto and the best looking revolver is the Colt 1861 Navy.

1. Third Model Colt Woodsman Match Target .22, 4 1/2" barrel. Straight lnes where it should have straight lines and curves where it should have curves, all in exquisitely machined metal and beautifully blued.

Have lusted after one since 1960, will probably have one one of these days.

2. Any Browning High Power--a classic if there ever was one.

3. Remington New Model Police Revolver, .36 Percussion--inspiration for the styling of the Ruger Bearcat.

4. Colt 1851 Navy--another classic.

5. 1911 Colt engraved by a master. (One sits in the safe but no photo to post even if I knew how.)

I supplied the Les Baer. Then my good friend Pete Single, supplied all the custom parts (i.e. Ed Brown Beavertail, mag release, Wilson hammer, etc etc). Obviously, he did all the custom work too.

The finished product was polished and then hard chromed by Alamo. Then it was coated with Boron carbide.

The custom work and parts supplied was a gift to me from Pete. All total, the gun is valued over $5000

Ted Yost Custom NRM Colt 1991:

(Again, I usually don't care for ivory stocks, but they sure look great on this gun.)
